Bellewaerde recently dropped concept arts for their new area. This area, located on the former site of their western area, will feature multiple new rides. The biggest ride in this new area will be the new spinning rapids. The area will be themed to a Brazilian village.
Spinning rapids
The biggest addition to this area will be the new spinning rapids that will be constructed by Intamin. This rapids will be built on the former site of the “Keverbaan” and Wild West village as a whole. The ride will have a height of 26 meters and will feature a lift hill and multiple drops.
Besides the new rapid river, a new family coaster will be built. However, we do not know yet who the manufacturer will be. This will be a good addition to the park as it replaces the former “Keverbaan”. The last new attraction will be a mini log flume that will be placed besides the new rapids.
24 million
The total investment will be around 24 million euros and will therefore be one of the biggest single investments in the history of the park. This will include the new rides, but it also includes a new take-away restaurant, shop and new restroom facilities. Besides all this there will also be a retheme of their exciting log flume to match it with the new Brazilian theme. The new area will open in March 2024.
